My name is Cydney Mar and I am The Wellness Enthusiast ( Former National Level Figure skater and International Fashion Designer )

I am a born optimist believing that life was meant to be happy, healthy and well lived. That means making healthy choices, choices that give you the opportunity to live life to the fullest. Everyday Fabulous has become my mantra from the inside out.

 A few years ago my scary near-death experience inspired me to recapture my health, beauty & vitality. A tummy ache became an acute abdominal pain and my GP was insisting that I check into the Hospital Emergency if the pain did not abate within the next 4 hours. Five days later, still in emergency, delirious and on the edge of death, they rushed me into surgery to clean out the infection that threatened to end my life. I spent two months in the hospital struggling to live, even sitting up was difficult.

I was so weak, I got hospital-acquired pneumonia, my lungs filled with water, failed and had to be drained. Learning how to breathe again, how to walk again, how to be whole again.

Every department in the hospital was involved in my case as they still could not understand what made me so ill. It wasn't until many months later in my recovery that they deduced that mono had crashed my immune system. My motivation to regain my health and beauty was galvanized by the loss of over 65% of my hair.

It was then that my background as an elite athlete, my family background and my passion for optimal health intersected with an incredible chance meeting with an ND who created the formula that helped me grow my hair back like crazy and an amazing manufacturer of high-quality nutraceuticals ~ Cydney Mar Wellness was born. 

For years, my friends would come to me asking hey, Cyd, I happen to have this ... what would you suggest to improve my condition? Or teasingly call me Dr. Mar, and say hey, what do your Naturopaths have to say about this ?? And always the helpful person, I'd say, well, I have seen, such and such, or let me ask more information and I'll get back to you...

Today, I have the pleasure of being associated with a brilliant team, who are amongst the best, most brilliant minds in naturopathy and homeopathy in Canada. I am so proud to call them my partners in creating these extraordinary products for your vibrant, optimal health.

At 6 years old I thought my purpose in life was to be a figure skater and I loved it. I was able to achieve status on the Canadian Figure Skating Team and was on my way to winning the Canadian championship and going on to skate internationally. At 18 I was almost killed in a freak skating accident at the club where my leg was almost severed.  My coach saved my life and my skating friends carried me off the ice.

My sports medicine Doctor arranged for the US government to bring 5 Doctors to Canada to perform the first micro neurosurgery in Canada on my leg. They made teaching tapes for the Universities. I survived, I learned how to walk again, and I returned to school to study my next passion ~ Fashion Design. This led to an illustrious career in fashion, graduating with honours, winning design and merchandising awards in NYC. My fashion career took off and I loved it. I was introduced to the world of TV shopping and I sold my fashions on TV worldwide for many fun years, traveling, connecting with customers, and talking about "Everyday Fabulous".

Today, I help people achieve " Every Fabulous " but from the inside out.

I believe that Divine Intervention played a hand in bringing me to the healing arts, first with myself and now for others. My paternal Grandfather was a medical herbalist before he came to Canada from China at the turn of the century. I am also Yale First Nations with family ancestry that goes back thousands of years, where we were once referred to as the River People. My ancestral family lineage inspires my passion for healthy living, these inherent family traditions having planted the seeds so long ago.
