Want to know how to get glowing Skin ? Love Me Some Lemon Water !!

Hello Lovelies ~

So many people ask me how I keep my skin looking so fresh and dewy...

" How do you do it Cydney ?? " as if I have some deep dark secret ( yah, I'm Dorian Gray's sister, lol ) 

Honestly, its pretty simple... yes, I have decent genes, but it really starts with what you do with what you've got. And for me it starts with Lemon Water in the morning. 

I popped over to the Market this morning and picked up some fresh lemons to make myself some fresh lemon water. I use 1/2 a fresh lemon to an 8 oz glass of water. I squeeze it int the glass, add water and see the lemon bits swirling around ( it looks a bit cloudy ) and add water. That's it !! 

I tend to drink my lemon water as I take my morning vitamins & eat breakfast ( this morning I had my freshly baked Bannock bread with peanut butter & jam. More often than not, I have plain yogurt with fresh fruits such a bananas, strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds & sunflower seeds. 

I'll have my coffee afterwards ( with a pince of baking soda to make it alkaline ! ) 

Why do I drink Lemon Water every morning ? It makes my skin absolutely radiant. It has  5 key benefits that you might want to know about ~

First, it is fabulous for my skin. Lemon Water can be considered an anti aging remedy. It eliminates toxins and plumps up the skin ... I drink one glass in the morning and make sure I drink at least 2 litres of water per day , often 3. It has an anti bacterial effect ( less acne and damages from ! ) anti oxidants which of course protect your skin ( less potential wrinkles... !! )

Secondly, it is a great tonic for your Liver, by helping your liver detox better by increasing the enzymes needed for detoxification. Having a healthy elimination system doesn't sound very sexy, but the results are :)  after all who doesn't want to look radiant , fresh and vibrant ?

Thirdly, it is alkalinizing ... disease cannot thrive in an alkaline environment only acidic ones. That means less colds, flus, cancers ... let's be proactive and simply stay healthy. Just by being aware of what's acidic and whats alkalinizing will help you make healthy choices. I know what you are going to ask me ... Umm, Cydney, I thought lemons were acidic. Guess what ? They are ! but they are also anionic and that means they convert in your body to help alkalinize the body and blood.

Fourthly, Great for weight management !! Lemons help your body burn fat faster and that means they help you maintain a healthy weight. How does it do that ? It does that by detoxifying the liver , and a healthy liver metabolizes fats much more efficiently. 

And lastly, lemons are a wonderful source of Vitamin C ( another anti oxidant. antibacterial, and boosts the immune system ! ) Packed full of Vitamin B's great for energy, tissue repair, growth and full of minerals like calcium, magnesium and phosphorus ( great for bones, teeth and calm nerves )
