It's The Year of the Ox starting February 12th, 2021 ~
And as your resident Chinese-Scottish-First Nations gal, I do have something to say about what's to come!!
Sometimes I believe that all of these influences, predictions & tendencies are a wee bit stern and The Year of the Ox is no different. I had "hoped " for a more gentle year, as we have just passed through 2020, gosh, I wish I could predict an easier year.
As I read through my favourite author's notes about what we could expect for this Year of the Ox, I thought, ok, if we really need to be more disciplined, how can we best benefit?
Just like you, I have felt at times there are too many restrictions, but I have also experienced a freedom that is beyond...beyond my wildest expectations.
Somehow, by making healthy choices, not necessarily easy ones, I have carved out a life that has inner freedom, happiness & joy.
Did I LOVE getting up at 4:30 am every single morning to go skate? NO.
Did I LOVE skating? YES.
And that is what making healthy choices is all about ~ Choosing to do WHAT YOU LOVE.
Do you LOVE feeling happy, rested & well nourished?
Do you LOVE knowing the choices you made are healthy ones?
Do you LOVE the extra time you've had for movies, journaling, brain space & peace?
Loved Ones, let's make healthy, happy choices in ALL that we do, even if it feels hard, it can be a happier, healthier YES.
