I have been in the business of fashion for 36 years already, so when I pop by to research fabrics for my Fashion Collections or see someone in the trade, we ALL go back a long time." Cyd! How do you do it ?? YOU do not change, you stay as youthful and lovely looking as you did when I first met you ?? "
There is no question that I started off with great genes, an athletic background, I know how to dress well and I have a youthful attitude. My skin is still luminescent, my hair is glorious and yup, my nails are real. So what's my secret sauce ? I've had life challenges physically as well as emotionally ( hey, none of us get to be on the other side of 55 without some challenges, so I feel your pain ! ) but somehow I have managed to navigate life with a certain amount of grace and it hasn't taken its pound of flesh.
I am blessed, no question, and on that note I spend about 1-2 hours a day in my spiritual practices, getting centered, balancing my chakras, meditating, saying my prayers and giving thanks for all that I do have. I get outside with Jack, my favourite guy in the WHOLE world ( He is an adorable short , grey haired fuzzy mini schnauzer who decisively adopted me when he was thrown away at Beaver Lake ) for a couple of good walks everyday. We take care of Mother Earth by picking up trash along the way and love how beautiful she is once cleaned up. I do random acts of kindness as I am called to, and I set healthy boundaries so I may navigate life without losing me in the process. I make healthy choices in my foods, and I chose to supplement with high quality nutraceuticals as I feel that life IS extraordinary and I wish to have all my brain cells and energy firing... somehow as well as I may chose my foods, a carrot might not be a carrot, so I put all the chances on my side.
I drink lots of fresh water everyday, a practice that I had to commit to. I had to figure out how to make it easy and simple, otherwise I might not do it ! I plan ahead, I pack up all my vitamins in little ziplock daily packs of goodness for my many trips. It seems to me that my healthy choices are a practice that somewhere along the line I committed to and adjust and change up along the way to my lifestyle.

I often motivate myself by focussing on how I want to feel ~ I love being energetic, I love being full of life and enjoying myself, at the end of the day ? I want to still have enough energy for fun.
