I have been thinking about how I create new habits and realized the other day that I do something that I am going to call " Habit Pairing "
I realized that ALL these years, I have instinctively been connecting the dots between a habit I already have & a NEW habit I am trying to create ~
It was absolutely a light bulb moment!!
Voila!!
Zo!!
I automatically go to grab my coffee cup, and so I sneakily put my vitamins right beside my coffee cup.
Huh.
I fill up my water bottle and set it beside my car keys in the front hallway... grab my keys, grab my water bottle!!
Huh.
I place my fiber capsules in a mini vitamin dish beside my beside, beside my water glass coaster ... I go to bed, place my water glass on the coaster, and voila!! I see my fiber caps in the little dish and I take two. Done.
Huh.
It doesn't matter if the habits are " related", it only matters that you already have a habit ( like say brushing your teeth ) that you can match with a new habit you'd like to create, around the same time of day.
