I've been thinking a lot about what it means to love myself more these days ~
We do have more time to reflect & this is no exception, at least for myself.
As someone who is an over-achiever, in fact, I recall my father saying to my friend Mary " Why does she work so hard? " lol, and today I am realizing that I've really put myself to task to achieve, even in these times of COVID.
I guess I have wanted to accomplish things, even while locked up in my home, we've all been pretty much locked up, haven't we?
Busy, busy, busy with projects, filing, creating & doing...
And so in these weeks before Chinese New Years' & Valentine's Day, I am going to cut myself some slack, I'm going to do less, not more, and I am going to choose to do so lovingly, to love myself more.
I'm going to make time for playing with Princess Shilo, taking the time to care for myself, whether it is a bubble bath, some beautiful flowers or delicious nourishment. I have some wonderful books that I've bought that are sitting in my living room, a cozy throw & a pretty cute puppy who'd love to snug with me while I read.
