Hey Loved Ones,
At the end of September last year, my dearest Loved Dog, Jack passed away, no longer able to take one more step.
I grieved, I prayed, I hoped that Jack would help me find another puppy, another rescue dog, sooner than later.Â
Jack was a very loved dog ~Â
The Ambassador of Trash-ercise, where we picked up all trash along that way on all our walks, beautifying Mother Earth who provides us with all the precious ingredients for our vitamins & more, daily.
October, November, December... I no longer went for 5 walks a day with dear Jack,  I sequestered myself, I became cranky, I gained weight. I listed myself on Petfinder.com, I stalked breeders for Mini Schnauzers ( I am the quintessential Schnauzer momma since I was six years old. ), I filled out endless applications & I put down deposits to show that I was " serious ".
I missed one Mini Schnauzer Rescue " Sherlock " who was adopted within hours, arriving a few hours too late.
Here is his photo, pretty cute, right?
And then came Shilo ~
It was funny when I was about 13, I skated to Shilo, a song by Neil Diamond about a " friend called Shilo "
And today, she is my best friend, my " raison d'etre ", my everything ~Â
She came home at 8 weeks old, she is now 4 1/2 months ( it was exciting, scary, enthralling & exhausting... to get through that period, she is almost house trained ...) and we walk 6 times a day, ALL my time is scheduled around her needs, I cook, I clean, I care...
And weirdly, I inadvertently lost that extra weight I had gained, it simply fell off... being active, engaged, walking more, being happier, made ALL of the difference in the world.
So Loved Ones, what can YOU do to make yourself happier, today?Â
I found more healthy happiness in Shilo, in taking care of her, getting out & about, and Princess Shilo LOVES making people happy, I talk to more & more people in the street, I am connected.
Be Happier Loved Ones,Â
I truly believe that it is a healthy happy choice,
Many Blessings,
Cydney, Shilo & ChukÂ
